The Time Use Institute
source: The Time Use Institute (www.timeuseinstitute.org), based on the 2006 American Time Use Survey. Tabulations are from a nationally representative sample of 11,483 adults age 18+. note: The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of weight that is scaled by height. Values between 18.5 and 25 are generally considered healthy. Values from 25 to 30 are generally considered overweight, and values of 30 and above indicate obesity. The BMI is calculated as an individual’s weight in pounds multiplied by 703 and then divided by the square of the individual’s height in inches.
